We make sure that every installation is fully capable of running without internet access, and can be set up to run without power if needed. All of our devices use open-source standards that are not at the mercy of large tech companies, and will continue to function for their entire lives.
how we keep your data Secure
Our maintenance agreements allow us to remotely manage your smart home server via a direct VPN connection to our offices. We collect no tracking, analytics or other data – only encrypted remote backups when needed.
Backups are kept on-location in our offices, with offsite backups in a second privately-owned location. None of your data is ever stored in the cloud, your data is owned by you.
As part of our maintenance agreement, we sign a legally binding NDA that prevents smarth LLC from ever sharing any of your data with any third party for any purpose. In addition to this, your backup data is encrypted by a password that only you know.
